This research examines how continuity of care at Federally Qualified Health Centers affects low-income adults as they age into Medicare eligibility. Using national Medicare and Medicaid data, it investigates whether maintaining long-term primary care relationships improves health outcomes, informing policies that strengthen community healthcare services and support healthy ageing.

This study examines cognitive reserve theory by investigating the relationship between education and cognitive performance across developed and developing countries. Using numeracy and verbal fluency measures, it finds that higher education consistently improves cognition. However, cognitive performance is largely similar across countries once education level is considered, challenging assumptions about educational quality differences.

This research studies the unusually long-lived Heliconius butterflies to uncover genetic mechanisms behind extended lifespan. By analysing DNA from butterflies across their lifespan, it aims to reveal evolutionary strategies for longevity that may inform future human ageing therapies. Understanding diverse animal lifespans could guide healthier ageing — without mythical “Fountains of Youth.”
