This research aims to create Sri Lanka's first national seahorse database by combining expert knowledge, fisheries surveys, community engagement, and underwater fieldwork. The resulting evidence will identify species distributions, trade pressures, and conservation priorities, supporting marine protected areas and more effective policies to safeguard vulnerable seahorses and coastal ecosystems.

Feathers and blood preserve detailed biological records of Tītī stress, diet, and environment across both New Zealand and the North Pacific. By analysing hormones and stable isotopes in modern and historical samples, this research reveals how climate change affects Tītī populations and identifies which groups are most vulnerable, guiding future conservation efforts.
