Biography

Aixin Yi is a PhD candidate in History at Boston University. Her research focuses on Christian social services in early twentieth-century China, with a particular interest in the rural areas. Her dissertation explores the Christian rural reconstruction movement in West China during the Second Sino-Japanese War. Before entering the PhD program, Yi worked as a food journalist in Shanghai.
